Very excited to introduce @textileexchange and this beautiful collaboration with @earthrise.studio to tell the stories behind the stitches, land and eco systems of the fabric that threads us together. I love Textile Exchange as it is an incredible non for profit that aims to drive change within this industry. It provides resources and guides brands on their way to produce in harmony with our 🌎🪡. Textile exchange exists to ensure that the materials used to make our fibers and raw materials are produced in a way that supports our planet, its ecosystems, its landscapes, and its communities. Our Story explores the concept of community and collectivity, looking at how Textile Exchange is creating a common vision across the industry. The film features three poignant voices from the Textile Exchange community: Krelyne Andrew, General Manager of Sustainability at SAPPI, Riyaz Haider, Founder and CEO of BioSustain Tanzania Limited, and Jeanne Carver, Founder/President of Shaniko Wool Company. All of whom produce raw materials for the global fashion, apparel, and textile industry, and this short film tells the story of what being part of a community means to them.
