Sitting in this airport lounge, having only had about 2 hours of sleep because these damn Spaniards kept us up all night eating and drinking (Diet Coke for me), I am going to wait to fully recount - in great detail - my week of being honored by @mosmamalaga Festival (two concerts:one with brilliant performers and just me on piano and songs from Broadway, the second, last night, a 60 piece orchestra playing suites from a WHOLE LOT of my film scores) for a day or so. But in my sleepless stupor here, I just want to immediately say thank you to some of the core folks whose hard work led to a night I WILL NEVER FORGET. And I think the pictures will say a thousand words for now. So, thank you @arturoboscovich, @david_doncel_barthe, David, @lucsuarezost, @samtahoad and @jeffatmajian, @lorenacalero_ ,@mariaadamuz, @albertbolea , @soniavillar80, @gospelitmusic, @antoniobanderas...and of course Lou...there are so many more to thank, and in detail, but my eyes are burning, I'm emotionally spent and my backpack is too heavy with computers for the fucking 3000 miles one has to walk to get to your gate at Heathrow Airport and I think I need traction. ❤️ Marc Shaiman p.s.
