My first piece I created after Ellie crossed the 🌈 bridge a little over a month ago, Mini Effie. It took me several weeks to get back in my studio where Ellie would lay under my desk and keep me company. I was grateful to create it for a dear friend @erinbeaverspate that wanted a familiar color scheme (Effie) and with a moody vibe, reflecting how I felt longing for familiar and VERY moody. Ellie was a once in a lifetime dog. Robert and I had her for 6 years before kids and then almost another 7 with kids. She has been our adorable, kind, loyal, gentle and often smelly (AKA Smelly Ellie) partner for almost 13 years. As soon as we met her I knew she was meant for us and us for her. We are so grateful she chose us! Even on her last day she lovingly let Luke climb all over her. My next pieces will reflect my baseline bright colors/personality mixed in with some moody colors as we miss this angel on earth.
