what started as rashes and a burning sensation on my face and body every time i was in my apartment....turned into something much worse eczema spread around my mouth, neck, arms, hands, and legs dermatitis on my scalp, constant congestion, brain fog, depression, anxiety for months, i told myself it was just stress i even tried extreme elimination diets, hoping my symptoms would disappear but they only got worse meanwhile i was running a business, working 12 hour days, all while my health was deteriorating 🫠🫠🫠 i remember calling my boyfriend one night, sobbing feeling like i was running out of options and honestly terrified for my health after seeing multiple doctors, no one could figure out what was wrong one doctor even told me i was just allergic to my cat finally, i hired a mold inspector within five minutes he found black mold in two areas of my apartment as you can imagine, i felt everything....anger, fear, anxiety but also a strange sense of peace because finally i knew i wasn’t making it all up i moved out on september 1st, 2024 and the healing journey since has been long, exhausting, and full of ups and downs some days i’d feel like i was getting better then the next week my symptoms would come back ten times worse it’s been a long journey and ngl, the trauma from all of this still makes me fearful of moving into a new place and how this might affect me long term but i’m so so so so grateful to have my health back !!! #moldtoxicity #moldrecovery #eczemahealing
