Robert Calafiore employs a hand-built pinhole camera to create large-scale, one-of-a-kind Chromogenic prints. From 2008-11, Calafiore produced a series of male nudes. The psychedelic scenes are transformed by the unique recording characteristics of the camera’s wide angle, the extended exposure, and the light sensitive paper’s abilities and limits. — Calafiore builds his sets in anticipation of specific, dramatic results.
