The 1984 Olympics mascot, Sam The Eagle pays tribute to the bronze eagle that welcomed the stadium race winner at the ancient Olympic Games. Sam was created by Bob Moore, a Disney artist who also turned Sam into a cartoon. Known for supporting all sports, Sam now stands tall at the LA84 Library.
