When I’m 80 years old, I know I’ll look back on this trip as a collection of nostalgic little moments and forget all the hard parts. It’s crazy how, as a parent, we forget the hard parts so quickly. What stays with us are the sweet, nostalgic moments that make it all worth it. Although this trip looked like the perfect highlight reel, there were plenty of challenges. Would I do it again? Maybe not a trip back to the Grand Canyon with a small child… but somewhere else? Absolutely, every time.
