#ad I was pretty excited when @bombaysapphire approached me to collaborate on their #SawThisMadeThis campaign especially because it means I could do my favourite thing : talk about Toronto. Like a complete stereotype, I’m a giant fan of my hometown: Toronto. Its multifaceted. Its vibrant and full of art. A growing tech capital. The most multicultural city in the world. But to me, Toronto is home in every sense but especially in it’s neighbourhoods. We pay attention to the CN Tower but not the abundance of trees, the preponderance of fresh markets, the ability to move into an area and immediately feel like you know your neighbours. Our micro-neighbourhoods breed loyalty and community. Its in the coffee shops, the bars, the stores but its especially in the parks and on the stoops. The markets are what mean the most to me. Being able to stop on the corner, pick up the freshest of Ontario produce, chat with the local storekeeper and potentially leave with an impulse-purchase of plants. This drink is inspired by my favourite morning ritual from my old neighbourhood: at the corner of Queen and O’Hara in Toronto’s Parkdale. If you’re from Toronto, what would most inspire you? Or what inspires you from your hometown? Share the inspiration behind your favourite serve with #SawThisMadeThis. #ad #StirCreativity #BombaySapphire
