Scotland County is fired up and ready to go! I was honored to speak at their 5th annual Younge/Purcell Banquet. There were 250 guests in attendance! This banquet honors two great legislative leaders for their service. State Senator Bill Purcell served 16 years and State Representative Doug Yongue served 17 years after distigjuished careers as a pediatrician and educator respectively. The late Rep. Yongue was represented by his daughter Dr. Beth Yongue. Sen. Purcell and his wife Kathleen joined us. The event also recognized two long time County Commissioners Carol McCall and John Alford. But have distinguished records of service to the citizens of Scotland County. It was great being with so many folks honoring great Scotland County leaders!
