CAUGHT, the sophomore album from @izzyouterspace 💜 Originally from Switzerland (now based out of LA), Izzy Outerspace grew up feeling “limited by what I saw around me. People seemed to lead ‘bulletproof’ lives, aka go to college, have a steady job and get married. [Though] I couldn’t relate, I moved to England when I was 21 to go to college and got a science degree because I didn’t believe I could be an artist. In college, I fell in love with an American. We got married and I moved to the States. I dived into filmmaking, acting...that’s how I landed in LA. But after pursuing it for about two years, it wasn’t for me. The whole time, I learned songs and played music. I was completely oblivious to how much music had played such a huge part in my life... I didn’t really see it. It was the elephant in the room.” Izzy shared, “It was only when I turned 30, I realized that I’d really regret not having actually learned the guitar, and so I started practicing ten minutes a day. I bought a looper, which was such a fun musical exploration for me. The ten minutes quickly turned into hours. Suddenly, I started writing my first songs, then had the opportunity to join the band ‘Warm Nights’. We recorded an album, gigged around in LA. After a year of that, I decided to do my own thing as ‘Izzy Outerspace.’ And now, she’s dropped her second LP, ‘Caught.’ 'I wanted to create something very dreamy and cinematic. There's a lot of different emotions floating through the record, and I hope it will take the listener on a journey.'
