New tattoo alert: Years ago, I was talking to my friend @bobthedragqueen about their @whoopigoldberg tattoo and I said “I really want an Angela Lansbury tattoo, but I’m going to wait until she passes.” To which Bob replied, “I’m tired of people celebrating people when they die. Why can’t we celebrate those artists who inspire us and give us comfort while they are alive?” I’ve been looking for the proper tattoo for Angela. No Hirschfeld felt appropriate. And then, as Bedknobs and Broomsticks celebrated its 50th in October, I found the answer. Not only can I celebrate the lady who gave me comfort in my darkest hours and helped me not kill myself, but I can also honour Richard and Robert Sherman, who are my greatest musical influences, and whose artistic output I am so gratefully a part of (OVER HERE! & “A Kiss Goodnight”). Furthermore, my production company, @tragunaproductions gets its name from the Star of Asteroth. And if you know how much Angie, SherBros, and B&B means to me, this all makes sense. Also, I am Eglantine. So, I feel very blessed I can honour Angie and Richard while they are still alive.
