Brittany Packnett Cunningham and Dr. Tiffany Crutcher discussed the six years since the death of Terence Crutcher Sr. and the social justice progress that Dr. Crutcher has made at both the local and national levels since.
This Fireside Chat was my favorite event out of the many offered to commemorate our namesake during the Week of Community Power because of the gems of wisdom dropped for those seeking to eradicate unjust systems. Due to my passion being voter mobilization and education, I was so excited to hear of different narratives to use when encouraging participation in elections.
In the clip above, you can hear from Brittany Packnett Cunningham herself and the unique way that our shared experiences can inform the narratives we share to move from apathy to action at the polls. Our vote is powerful, and it’s “the good stuff.”
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that we have an opportunity to “square up” with our vote on November 8th, 2022. See you at the polls.
