✨Day 290 of 365✨ styling a vintage piece from my grandma‘s and my collection every day for a year! We recently uncovered the heels my grandma wore to my parent’s wedding in a costume bin! I then went into my stuff and found the ORIGINAL box they came in too!? 😂 They are Aerosole shoes which were invented in 1987 in response to a New York City transit strike where working women had to wear sneakers to walk to work and then change into heels at work! They were marketed as one of the first formal heels that had the comfort of a casual shoe! Grandma wore them along with this dress for their wedding in 1997! I’ve taken some liberties in adding this big gold necklace, black/gold clip-on earrings, and a little drawstring handbag I know Grandma loves! I have to say... they ARE really comfy!
