The last time I attended #EssenceFest in 2018, I was an assistant beauty editor working for a publication. This year, I attended with @EsteeLauder as a panel host and had the honor of sharing the stage with two icons, Nia Long and Jazmine Sullivan. To say that I was immensely humbled to share in conversation with Black women I’m deeply inspired by is an understatement. We talked about our evolving perceptions of beauty as it relates to self-confidence and the culture.
