‚Under the Skirt‘ is an intimate project I originally wanted to do with others women as subjects. With “Under the skirts” I would like to explore the idea of sexiness (notion which often include a second person) via the self-voyeurism, our own reflection. Of course it's also on a certain extend a thought on the relationship of the photographer and his often younger subject, on the lack of communication between these two.. there is a lot to say about this vast but also very personal topic. As it’s a quite intimate project, I decided to test it on me and I’ve been surprised by the sensation I’ve felt while photographed myself in front of a mirror. Feeling normally a bit disconnected to my body, I was amazed to see how empowering would be that mirror reflection. I love to think styling empowers the ones with low self-esteem.
