This is my story. Vulnerable, raw, and real. My journey with fitness has been a long one, but it’s taught me more than I could’ve ever imagined. I didn’t grow up athletic. I wasn’t someone who just “knew” how to eat healthy or train properly. I gained a lot of weight in college, spent years trying every trend, and constantly felt like something was wrong with me when nothing seemed to work. I’d binge, restrict, overthink every meal, and then burn out. Over and over again. I thought I just didn’t have the body type or the discipline to change. But three years ago, that started to shift. I found weightlifting. I started fueling my body instead of punishing it. I learned how to actually work with my body instead of fighting it — and for the first time, I started to feel strong, confident, and in control. I’ve now lost 30 lbs, built muscle, and most importantly, rebuilt trust with myself. I feel so much happier in my own skin — and I know now that I’m capable of so much more than I ever gave myself credit for.
