Some images documenting BA Architecture Studio 11’s @csm_studio11 participation in the London Festival of Architecture @londonfestivalofarchitecture, which took place at the Idea Store, in Whitechapel, London on 30 June 2022. CSM’s Architecture Degree Studio 11: ‘Act’ to ‘decolonise climate and socially responsive design’ in collaboration with the host, Head of LB Tower Hamlets Regeneration: Sripriya Sudhakar and the facilitator and the curator of the event: Tumpa Husna Yasmin Fellows @tumpahusnayasminfellows , CSM studio 11 tutor. They showcased community engagement projects in Whitechapel, as an attempt to decolonise climate and socially responsive design. The event included: -Exhibition of the design projects undertaken through community engagement in Whitechapel -Performances of Spatial Activism -Participatory Design workshops – with young people and champions from the local communities, the CSM Architecture Studio 11 and the representatives from the local authorities -Reflective session where they gathered, presented, discussed and reflected on the co-creation of the crafts and design from the Participatory Design Workshops.
