Going through my archives recently I came across this hauntingly beautiful photo of @morenabaccarin taken at Tribeca back in 2019...what now feels like another lifetime ago. It’s easily one of my top 5 favorite instant film shots I’ve ever taken. The elation of capturing everything in camera fills my little scientist heart knowing my experiment with time, light and motion yielded positive results despite it’s demands for perfection. It’s this illusion that I am somehow in control. Somehow the chaos makes sense. Somehow it will all work out in the end and I won’t feel the need to command this stream of information as a presentation in pursuit of comfort and purpose. I’m in love with curiosity and the idea that we are all profoundly deep and worth exploring. Imperfection is to be accepted if beauty is to be celebrated.
