Metro's Sign Language Class welcomed Stephanie Pennie, a local hard-of-hearing individual and arthritis nurse practitioner. Stephanie shared what hard-of-hearing means within the Deaf Community and discussed the challenges of navigating the hearing world as a hard-of-hearing individual ~ specifically, attending college with hearing people and working full-time with hearing patients. Stephanie is a dedicated children's church teacher for Praise Assembly Deaf Church and volunteers for childcare assistance at Happy Hands Education Center. #MyMetro #SignLanguage
