Our first solo exhibition ‘Entre Dos Mundos’, which portrays our experience within Lucumí and a key representation of Cuba's cultural identity, has been extended to the public through June 30th! If you haven't yet, go check it out at @spinelloprojects 🤍 This triptych personifies Obatalá, the messenger to Olódùmarè (God) and the creater of human bodies. Obatalá wears all white with a head covering, which traditionally initiates of Lucumí in Cuba must wear for a year. The white represents purity, cleansing and spiritual clarity.
