DETAILS: Tumadhir’s Walk Nicène Kossentini with Alia Sellami “Tumadhir’s Walk” is a journey inspired by Al Khansa (byname of Tumadhir bint 'Amr ibn al-Harith ibn al-Sharid), who is widely regarded as one of the most influential and powerful poets of pre-Islamic Arabia and whose poetry continued to be celebrated in the Muslim era. Kossentini’s artworks feature ink vibrations of Arabic words on paper conjugated in the past-tense feminine delicately written in repetition, whose pulse can be felt near or far.
