Thank you for all of the birthday love and well wishes today! As I enter my 30s, I reflected back on my 20s and all of the things I’ve learned this past decade. Here are 30 things that I’ve learned (but definitely not mastered) by age 30: 1. Love God, even when you don’t feel like it 2. Love People, even when you don’t feel like it 3. Life will always be busy. Don’t forget to prioritize spending time with God 4. Surround yourself with people who will encourage, support, and call you out when necessary 5. Know that not everyone processes the world the same way you do. 6. Stay mentored and mentor others 7. Build a brother (or sister) up! 8. Singleness is a gift. Use it to serve God 9. Don’t worry about things you have no control over 10. If you see trash pick it up 11. What you feed (mentally) grows 12. Combat lies with the Truth 13. Learn to say No. You cannot do everything that everyone asks of you 14. Be the precedent 15. Leaders empower others 16. Leaders remove confusion 17. Above all, be genuine 18. It is good to be seen, better to be known 19. Always read the room 20. Let people know you care by asking questions about what they care about 21. We’re all creative in some way, enjoy the creativity God gave you 22. Never waste fun 23. Get legendary status, do legendary things 24. Live a life of integrity 25. Always be willing to admit where you failed and learn from it 26. Take time to look back and see the intricacies of God’s hand in your life 27. Do what you’re called to do and do it well 28. Never take credit for what God did through you 29. Your influence is immeasurable. Live wisely 30. Your successes and failures are your testimony. Share it.
