When you are a child of a broken home, You can spend your entire life wanting to proof yourself to find places of belonging Feeling like your safety depends on other’s permission of you to stay and to be ok Or running away from grounding and letting your shoulders rest, fearing someone or something will take it away from you But it isn’t until you find a home within yourself by setting boundaries, breathing into discomfort, building healthy routines telling your body she is safe independent of the changes along the way The world will bring you to the place you need to be 🕊🪶 Thank you 2022 for making me trust again.
