I don’t think a diffuser is necessary every time to dry coily hair. Especially not if you’re going to wear your hair in an expanded shape- with a lot of volume. Coils will naturally shrink, creating the volume a diffuser gives naturally. I do think however, that we should be drying our hair in some fashion. It helps your set last longer, helps with elasticity in your coils, & prevents bacteria or mildew on the scalp & hair. I air dried for 15 mins, then used this dryer technique for another 15 minutes. My hair was about 80% dry. Save & share with a curl bestie ✨
