🖤 As we're coming close to the end of the year, we're going to be taking a look back at some of the most memorable moments from the operas and ballets which we staged at our theatre in 2022. Scènes de ballet was on the Main Stage back in April, as part of a mixed programme of works by Frederick Ashton. Made in 1948, the piece is in many ways Ashton’s most modernist ballet. The exquisite, enigmatic work is set to Igor Stravinsky's eponymous music from 1944. It was performed alongside A Month in the Country and Rhapsody.
