Graduated university as a master in Business Engineering, Operational Management and Logistics. For the first time in my life, I am proud of myself. For the last five years, I combined studying at the university and working as a model. From studying on a train or plane to doing a presentation in my hotel room and taking the earliest or latest flight to attend class, I have done it all to manage the combination. Today, all the rush, sweat, stress, tears, sacrifices and hard work has paid off. We made it possible. “WE”, as I couldn’t have done it without the unconditional support and help from my parents, sisters and family. Besides, a warm thank you to my friends for taking notes, keeping me updated and being patient during group assignments. I was not the only one jumping through hoops to make it work. My agencies, my bookers have always supported my decision even if I had to say “no” to jobs because of uni, if they had to find a way to get me back on time to Belgium or if I needed extra time and focus on my studies. I am forever grateful to have had the chance to combine the two. I will never take this for granted. Unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity or privilege to access education. Education is vital for children to develop and achieve their goals. Therefore, it should be a choice available to everyone.
