We peddle the fruits of our labor so that they don’t have to: @skyhighfarmhudsonvalley is a farm that doesn’t sell anything, so instead of sales reports they have donation stats. This season alone the farmers have grown and donated over 11.5 thousand pounds of vegetables, fruit and protein, plus nearly 1100 dozen eggs (aka over 13 thousand yolks!) to local food access groups and distribution partners, and the numbers grow weekly. All of it is the kind of high quality and nutrient-dense food that’s usually reserved for the select few who can find and afford it. Food is getting more expensive by the day, and farm work everywhere is already grueling and expensive. It feels like a far way from fashion, but thanks to yall for helping us stretch the sweaters, the double knees, the sweats and the stuffies to a place they’ve got no business being - people’s mouths!
