(Scroll for more.. 🧵) A month ago, I released what easily became my favorite project I’ve ever created. I released a new song but in the form of what’s called a PFP (profile picture) Music NFT. If you don’t know what an NFT is just yet, think of it as a ‘digital collectible’ or a ‘stock with a visual/audio placeholder’ that can grow or depreciate in value over time. That being said, we created an entire collection of 5555 pixel characters drawn by @sparka, inspired by my original song “PIXELATED” - Written w/ @emmalynnwhite @jennifersmestad & John Marlin; Inspired by digital love and admiring ones beauty, pixel for pixel 👾 My good friend @andrewecapra & I had the wild idea to produce the same song in 12 different ways, to add the “which version will I get” factor and switch up the creative process a little bit. Something as a songwriter and an artist I’ve never done before. Every NFT will have one of twelve versions of PIXELATED attached to them. Some of the versions include the 80's version, Symphony, Warped Tour, 8bit & more. Ranging from common to legendary, some versions will be harder to collect than others, giving songs “RARITY” And here's the cherry on top... ALL Pixelated NFT holders will receive IP Rights to the PIXELATED art & Commercial rights to each and every version of the song attached! With commercial rights, one can use the song as a theme song for a business or a show. You can also make derivative works of the art, create a custom merch store, and much more...
