Sasha is a London based artists, who took part in Art Biesenthal 2019. This work can be described as an absurdity of action to open a door which will never be opened. The door handles are too far from each other, increasing the chance of personal failure in an attempt to move into another space. The work questions the idea of boundaries and the relationship between space and place. The work also documents the relationship with the objects. Like all freeze frames, this is as much about movement as stillness. Everything around it suddenly seems vital and alive in a way; and that’s partially because the still provokes a kind of desire in us to have movement and life restored. Freeze frames can also give you time to see things that otherwise move to quickly to be caught.
