ᴅʀᴏᴘꜱ ꜱᴘᴏᴛʟɪɢʜᴛ: ᴡᴇᴛᴡᴀʀᴇ - ᴍᴇᴍʙʀᴀɴᴇ ɪ Exploring the concept of a “wetware” computer; a computer composed of organic material, @yoshi_sodeoka contemplates the self-organizing nature of wetware computers through experimentation with audiovisual feedback loops in his upcoming drop on Foundation. This drop is a long-form extension of the artist’s interest in the wetware concept, which he has previously presented on Foundation as 1/1s. These videos grew from a few seeds of graphic and audio information, which were then animated and mutated by automatic video feedback, and in turn resulted in new visuals. With Drops, Sodeoka is able to expand his experimentations with video, sound, and feedback loops.
