That Silvertone Sound, this is history! #Repost @pennebakerjames Cool pedal alert! When I was a kid, around 1969 a neighborhood school mate of mine’s (John Shapter) parents bought him a “used” guitar and amp out of the newspaper classifieds. It was a ‘50s Les Paul Jr. and a Sears Silvertone 1484 “Twin Twelve” amp. We’d spend hours at his house making noise with those and an Electro-Harmonix LPB-1 linear power booster (remember those?) trying to mimic Joe Walsh and “Funk #49” by The James Gang. I’ve been reliving those memories with this pedal that gets the sound of that amp and, depending how you set it, that LPB-1 is in there too. Not like anything I currently have in my wheelhouse. Excellent and fun pedal that goes from a clean boost to a fuzz and it all sounds like it’s coming out of that old Silvertone 1484. Built like a tank too.
