One thing's for sure — newborns need to sleep quite often! While nap times and lengths can vary quite a bit, aim to give your 0 - 8 week old baby the opportunity to sleep after about 30 - 90 minutes of wakefulness. Try to look for sleepy cues to help determine when your newborn will be ready to sleep.
Sleepy cues include:
🥱 Starting to look away from you
🥱 Getting a glazed-far away look in their eye
🥱 Rubbing/putting their forehead on you
