4 things that have majorly helped through my transition from heat-damaged curls to healthy, moisturized curls: 1️⃣ Deep conditioning weekly. My hair loves moisture so I usually use a moisturized-based deep conditioner. At least once a month, I’ll use a protein based deep conditioner or hair mask to help with my moisture vs protein balance. 2️⃣ Clarifying 2x a month or as needed to remove build-up & have a “restart” for my scalp & curls. 3️⃣ Big chop to cut all dead ends. Hair grows faster without dead/split ends. 4️⃣ Buying products my hair likes. For ex, does your hair like heavy or lightweight products? This was a MAJOR thing I discovered after like a year transitioning. I used to apply very heavy products like shea butter.
