Honored to have had the opportunity to Costume Design Omar Offendum’s ‘Little Syria’ at @bam_brooklyn curated by @nifmuhammad. 3 sold out shows and 3 standing ovations! ⚡️⚡️⚡️Working with @offendum @ronniemalley @thanksjoey and @nanoraies was a dream and something that I have been aiming to do for a long time. There are so many Middle Eastern stories in New York, specifically the Syrian one and this performance at Bam is the first iteration of a developing project. I firstly have to thank @narcynarce for making the introduction to @offendum who I have been a fan of for sometime. Narcy also created the amazing visuals playing during the show. I would like to thank @zaidfarouki the amazingly talented designer who worked with us in creating Omar, Nano and Ronnies looks. I know that our creative collaboration is just beginning. Please also check out his work share and support. He is a true talent and innovator in fashion for all. Also was so hugely inspiring to work with the team at Bam who realized this huge project. @theejosiahdavis for directing, for lighting and the production and wardrobe team who were so dedicated to realizing all aspects of the project.
