I was at an atypical loss for words in this weekend’s various pre and post-show toasts, speeches, and goodbyes. I was a writer making my world premiere out of town in the time of COVID when nearly my whole cast got COVID, and then I got COVID and then had to understudy one track (Zach), then understudy a second combined track (Zachard), then understudy a third track (Richard) all without any rehearsal after a 14-year absence on stage and...well, the physical, emotional, and psychological stress got to me. I’m still processing the experience, but I know that it was the most beautiful and important thing I’ve ever done, and the people I’ve met and the relationships I’ve created are among the most meaningful in my life. Thank you to EVERYONE at @diversionarysd, @aaronmg1 and the wider Eighty-Sixed family for your love and support...I REALLY felt it. I love you all so much. Truly. It’s for US 💁🏻‍♂️
