COUNTRY GRAMMAR DINNER DROP (preorder link in bio) Food is a universal language that people from any part of the world can relate to and enjoy. Many cultures express themselves through food. Food is not just meant to sustain life but is an expression of who we are. Cultures share food to honor guests. Breaking bread affords us the opportunity “to open the door” and share our lives with one another. Generations of immigrants have survived on connecting with the dominant culture through their food. We may not know how to speak Spanish, but we know how delicious a taco is. We may not understand the Korean shop keep, but we feel the hug of sullungtang in our bellies. We speak to each other one dish at a time. For Laroolou's Edlyne and our very own Marco, Filipino food is their country grammar. We thought it fitting to reinterpret America's country food, BBQ, with our grammar. Hence the name of this dinner drop, Country Grammar. Tapping into Edlyne's time in St. Louis, we created this pre-Thanksgiving feast of a meal for ya'll to connect with. Dinner box for 2, pick up on the evening of 11/17. Shimmy, shimmy cocoa, what? Listen to it pound Light it up and take a puff, pass it to me now. Preorder link in bio! @laroolou is a Filipino pie shop located in the Far East Plaza of Chinatown.
