A Sideline Story: Russ & DJ - Brotherhood I know lots of people in this world have tunnel vision, highly idolize, but forget that these athletes are just people too. The only difference is they have a badass job (earned by putting in an insane amount of work), and make a ton of money, which is a dream to more people than you can count. Through my lens, documenting the friendships, the joys, emotions, the silliness and seriousness, and even downtime moments are worth more to me; because I believe people still need a window or reminder sometimes when on the sidelines. Personally, I love documenting people happily doing what they love. It’s infectious and humanizing and one of my favorite things about being a photographer. The opportunity and trust to tell the truth and the story often drowned out by the noise. I don’t share a ton these days because the effects of social media, etc., but a series like this means a lot to me to show. One love 🤝 P.s.
