Great news for my SA friends whom have been asking where to find Sea Me :)♥️ As from now on, we are available at the most beautiful store in Cape Town @bastille_maisonmara !! Little back story on why I feel so connected to this place ever since I finished my studies in Belgium. Right after graduating I felt the need to leave Belgium and decided to take 6 weeks for myself to figure out what I wanted out of life. What happened next is something I’d never expected. I fell in love with a South African whom I briefly met at Tomorrowland the year before 😅 I changed my flights and decided to stay for 6 months ~ which then became 3 yrs ~ instead of 6 weeks. He introduced me to a lifestyle of working on islands/yachts and this gave me the freedom to earn just enough money to go back and forth to Belgium to make more tiedye and explore the options our mini baby brand had in its power. In the first year we did a pop-up at the seaside in Belgium and felt people were really supportive and loving our creations. A tipping point in growing confidence in Sea Me’s future ideas. Back to Cape Town - I remember - I must have been about 21, making tiedye in the kitchen of my ex-boyfriend’s family home in Rondebosch dirtying the whole place (sorry Babs!!) in order to make tiedye to sell at a little home sale for Afrikaburn that was coming up 😅 Just so many great memories of me starting to trust my intuition... Not putting too much pressure on the timing of success -after years of doing exactly what was expected of me at school/university- but really doing things from the heart this time. Fast forward: we dated for over 3 years, lived abroad during this time and really got to develop another part of me. Sea me started to grow and I had to make a big decision: keep living my adventurous lifestyle or move back to Belgium in order to exploit the full potential of Sea Me 🤍 went for the last option...(sequel in comments)
