R O A D T R I P This week we drive to @sugarmountain_munich in our little @jeep to judge the @europeanstreetfoodawards. We will be judging alongside Chef @ricobirndt, who loves street food so much he serves it on the rooftop of his restaurant - the @mural.farmhouse - which abides by the “Eat local, drink natural” principle established by the Michelin-starred @muralrestaurant. And our @maplecanadauk fellow Chef ambassador @renestein from @tisane_restaurant gets the immediacy of street food. Tisane doesn’t separate the kitchen from the dining room. There’s no front of house, no back of house, and contact with the guests isn’t only via the plates but through personal dialogue. It’s communicative cooking. Just like street food. And @samandshaunaofficial? First Ladies of ‘Cue’? We started out as street food traders. And won the coveted BBC Food Awards @bbcfoodprog. We’ve won @obsfood best restaurant @hangfirebbq, and hosted 3 series of our TV Show: Sam and Shauna’s Big Cookout @bbc. Cookbook @quadrillebooks and all-out food obsessives. Of course we wanted to judge @europeanstreetfoodawards. That’s why they are driving all the way from the UK to be involved. But who will we choose as champions?
