So... what’s the deal with oil in plant-based milks?🤔 Lately, you’ve probably been hearing a lot about oil in plant-based milks, including oat milk. Rapeseed (aka canola) oil is one that many nutritionists and functional doctors warn against as it is highly processed and can cause inflammation. At Willa’s, we use the whole entire oat, which means our oat milk is super rich and creamy with little to no oil at all. When we do need to use oil, like in our Creamy and Barista Oat Milks (coming soon 👀), we use high oleic sunflower oil, which has a nutritional profile similar to avocado oil. As always, we are committed to using only the simplest, organic ingredients. If you’re looking for an oil-free option, our Unsweetened Original and Dark Chocolate Oat Milks contain ZERO oil.
