Welcome newest BKR foster babies!🥺🥹 This pair of 2 week old orphans came to us yesterday when a rescue friend reached out for help with them. They were found all alone outside on Saturday night. The finder waited all night for mama cat to return, but sadly she never did😔 That’s when we were contacted and agreed to take these sweet sick babies🙏 They have badly infected eyes that keep sealing shut after every warm compress. But they are receiving antibiotic eye drops, so they should be better soon🤞 These babies were also incredibly dehydrated and absolutely covered with fleas🥺 This is a dangerous and potentially deadly combination. They are receiving fluid therapy to replenish their hydration and iron supplements to counteract their flea anemia🙏 The spotted boy is smaller but appears stronger at this time. He almost immediately started latching and eating well from the bottle👏 He’s also most active and alert🙏 Baby girl has been struggling. She’s been lethargic and unable to latch or even swallow formula placed on her tongue🥺 So I’ve been tube feeding her. But this last feeding, she actually drank from the bottle!!
