This is an important moment in the history of our movement. We are encouraged by the passage of the Respect for Marriage Act. After the Dobbs decision earlier this year, it is clear that our Human Rights are in clear and present danger, and RMA is the first of what we hope will be many steps we must take to defend our rights from being stripped away. These are not political issues. The rights to marriage equality and bodily autonomy affect the everyday lives of people across the country and the world. No governing body should be able to take away constitutional rights that have been protected for years without question. We applaud the 117th Congress and @potus for taking this decisive step forward, and we hope to see a continued commitment to codifying human rights through meaningful, bipartisan legislation.
