As we enter the new year I decided to take some time to reflect on 2022 as a whole. 2022 was a year full of a lot of obstacles for me. I won’t go into detail but I’m not the same person I was at the start of this year. I’ve been on a journey of self-discovery and healing and I’m not going to lie it’s been a lonely path. However it was a path necessary for my own personal growth. The main thing I learned was finding the beauty in everything, even the most terrible things. Sure there’s beauty in the sky and there are beautiful people but there’s also beauty in heartbreak and even in death. I’m saying this because the smile that I have, the one you guys have come to know and love isn’t always real. Sometimes it’s just me pushing through the hard things in life and trying to find the beauty in everything. I’m posting this because I encourage all of you to look inside yourself and try to find the beauty in the things you may be afraid to face. The past can hurt but you won’t be able to truly enjoy the gift that we call the present unless you challenge yourself to learn from it. The world these days is so full of hatred, anger, and suffering. You never know what someone’s going through or what they’ve gone through so I encourage all of you to find the beauty in life, the beauty in change, the beauty in growing up. Take that beauty and turn it into love and kindness because a life full of hatred is not a life worth living.<3
