So, today, Sunday, is the final day of the “Omokage” exhibition presenting Yuichi Romita’s ceramic works in io. To mark the day, we asked Alice and Edgars from @tombo.cph to prepare the wagashi, Yōkan, for us. Alice and Edgars make their Yōkan from scratch, with a lot of care and time poured into every part of its creation. While it may look simple on the outside, tasting it, we cannot help but being moved by its selfless and timeless quality - a quality shared among Yuichi’s works as well. We will be serving Tombo’s Yōkan in io Sunday together with tea prepared in Yuichi’s vessels.
