This time of year always makes me pause. To look around and take it all in. To marvel at the beautiful, imperfect puzzle that is my life, and to reflect on all the blessings that led to this moment. That’s what I love about Diwali. It’s a reminder to stop and see the light, to celebrate the good and to hold close what matters most... family, love, and the light within us all. It’s been years since we’ve celebrated back home with my parents, and it always makes me so emotional. Watching the next generation carry on the same traditions; my brother teaching our kids what our parents taught us. Even if you’re not celebrating Diwali, take one quiet minute today, close your eyes and think of three things you’re grateful for.
