This week on SPPTMAM, we finally plunge down the rabbit hole of GO ASK ALICE (1973), the grandmama of aaalll the teen-druggie-troubles TV movies. Based on the smash hit best-seller “real diary” by “Anonymous,” a 15-year-old girl (pack of lies, turns out) this tv adaptation remains a sometimes haunting & poignant, sometimes baffling & mind-boggling sensation that is still being discussed & dissected 50 years later. I was very grateful that my magical sisterfriend @kirstenvangsness could join me to process all this cuz it’s A LOT. And Part 2 will be out this coming Monday!
