My comments at the March Against Monkeypox & Government Inaction rally last Friday. To be clear: I don’t blame the US government for me or anyone else getting MPX. But I am addressing that its failure to quickly respond to this outbreak with existing vaccines and treatments has led to unnecessary suffering and, at this point, a potentially endemic virus. Since this was recorded, the CDC has announced updated guidelines to make the TPOXX antiviral more readily available for patients. And the FDA is allegedly making progress on clearing more of the ~300K JYNNEOS vaccines stuck in Denmark. I hope these updates prove true in practice. (Vid by @theelielcruz)
