Not all Mondays are cyber. Ours is giving. Come celebrate the giving that makes Mondays such a special place. Sing songs about giving, support, Money?, from The Apple Tree?, and dress as You’re Giving Monday. For every song we sing, there’s are behind-the-scenes efforts of a community of artists — building request systems, websites, designing flyers, purchasing music from @musicnotes in real-time w requests for $5 each, singing background vocals, getting birthday cakes, rides home for people farther afield to keep our community safe and accessible, and making sure there’s no cover or requirement to drink for anyone. We’ve purchased keyboards, sound equipment, accordions, and drum sets and house them for Mondays events at large. We don’t take tips, so no one feels entitled by money to sing before you do. We commission, underwrite, and support community members’ solo artistic endeavors, program events to amplify performance opportunities from @joespub @littleislandnyc and @broadwayintheparkmx We’ve had donations behind the scenes over the years that have allowed us to pass along support to the community.
