All fun and games here in Chamonix as the temps reach record highs and the rivers flow deep with glacial melt water. Over the weekend, a new high temp record was set on the summit of Mont Blanc that broke the previous record by 3.6° celsius, from 6.8° to 10.4° A friend and I ran today and expressed our feelings of, "What are we doing?" Like everyone else, not much of anything. We're running in the mountains, flying around, driving, consuming, and staring at phones. For many of us, our work revolves around supporting other people in their pursuit of these same things. Clearly nothing will happen to help solve all the many issues we face until there is a complete shift in the way humans think and act. What is it going to take?
