Y’all I am in an industry where taking photos is my business. And while I could never take beautiful photos like these (all thanks to @rachelcareyphotography btw), I love how full my camera roll is with photos of beautiful clients and small moments of my beautiful life. I was taking a trip down memory lane today looking at some old photos and I encountered some pretty sweet moments- some that made me laugh and some that made me cry. I got stuck looking at pictures of me in my senior prom dress, and I think we all know how that goes... And what’s funny is while I always felt so beautiful in that dress, seeing pictures of myself like that hurt my heart. I was reminded of how mean I was to myself back then. I am now so far removed from that time in my life that it makes me so sad to think of the way I treated myself, physically and emotionally. But I’m so glad I get to have photos like that to remind myself not only that I was beautiful then, but also now. I’m glad I have a camera roll full of thousands and thousands of photos to remember the good and the bad. And I’m thankful we have people in our lives that capture our beauty in a way we don’t always see. Thank you Rachel @rachelcareyphotography for reminding me of that🤍
